This part of the book contains two short chapter that illustrate thinking about poker from an odds perspective.
I didn’t play either of the hands discussed; they were both played by others and discussed on the Internet.
One of them is about playing a draw and thinking in terms of betting odds; the other is about playing a small pocket pair and thinking in terms of pot odds.
Both hands illustrate errors that are often caused by a persistence in thinking about the game in terms of best poker hand versus a draw.
